A prefabricated modular concept house where 90% of the build is carried out offsite.
Laing O Rourke approached HTA Design LLP to develop the architecture for their (at the time) top secret concept house, dubbed the 90+ house. A key feature of the project was the fabrication of the modular structure using steel framing, decking and proprietary panels developed by LOR using direct outputs from the model for use in the fabrication facility by CADCAM.

The Approach
Deploi were retained by HTA to provide intensive embedded team support and expertise in training their staff and developing the more challenging and intricate aspects of the house. These included amongst others the intricate timber cladding, flashings, louvres and soffits, bespoke windows and doors, bespoke joinery elements as well as the custom feature stair.
Scheduling, detailing, specification and coordination were all supported as well. A unique aspect of this project was the rapid proramme. Delivery was required in only 4 weeks from start to finish!
